Due to the loss of two of the girls rope horses this year (2020) they have decided to keep Sherman at this time.
*Sherman’s video was taken last November, due to it taking some time to get his papers. We are now just posting him on our page! We will be doing more recent videos of him soon!! Sherman is one of those young geldings you will search a life time to find. They just don’t come built like him, with his size, looks, pedigree, mind and ability! This coming 7 year old AQHA sorrel geldingthat stands right at 15 hh with all the substance and shape you could ask for, with a deep shoulder, massive hip, short back and the prettiest head and neck you could want on one! Sherman is bred to be a top notch performance horse having, Skipper W Bars and PlayGun right on his papers! PlayGun has earned lifetime earnings of $185,000 and has thrown his athleticism, strength, brilliance on a cow, intelligence and all business mentality into his many offspring’s! We honestly cannot say enough about this colt! With his previous owner he had been used to cut cows, heeled a few steers, and had won the green reining and ranch horse confirmation classes at the three open shows his trainer took him to!!! Sherman is incredibly easy to ride, is super broke and a cute mover. In the arena Sherman stands to be mounted, walks off nicely every time you swing a leg over him, has a nice jog, lopes nice correct collected circles, takes his leads, rides on a loose rein, has a nice stop, neck reins and knows leg cues, backs up, he can really ride around when asked to, but also rides super calm, quiet and collected. Sherman tries hard to please his rider, and is a very quick learner! He has also had many outside miles put on him as well, he crosses water, goes up and down the hills through the rough terrain, over the logs and through the mud and the muck. We have been penning steers and loading cattle on him when we rope and tracking steers out of the heeling box and he seems to love his job, and really watches a cow! Sherman is very quiet and gentle, loves attention is easy to catch, stands tied all day, stands to be brushed, saddled, and bridled. He is an in your pocket type horse, is easy to handle his feet, stands good for the farrier and veterinarian, clips good, loads good, is good in a stall or pastures well, he is good with both mares and geldings. Like his pedigree Sherman is one of those exceptional horses that is ready to go in any direction you choose whether its ranch horse versatility, ranch horse pleasure, reining, cutting, team roping, calf roping, barrel horse, working cow horse, or just a good using horse! You won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to own this gorgeous colt that is an absolute gentleman to have around! Sells 100% Sound. |
