As of 2020 we are holding off on lessons! If we start up again, we will let our clients know!
Thank you!
Please contact Katie for lessons at 563-590-8109- call or text.
Another feature we offer is giving horseback riding lessons. We offer lessons to children and adults, nobody is ever to old to learn how to ride!
For lessons we charge per hour. We are also open to letting you learn to ride on our horses. if you would like to bring your own horse your are more than welcome to.
Besides the lessons, we have also provided customers with birthday parties for their children and we also do group lessons. An, example of a group lesson we have given is to a local group of Girl Scouts and for the ALC School in Dubuque, IA. The prices for group rates varies on the amount of children that will be coming and the amount of time they will spend riding and celebrating or learning.
We have an indoor and an outdoor arena so we are able to give lessons year round- no matter what the weather!

Below are images from the ALC Wellness activities- learning about and riding horses at our home.
The students learned everything from saftey on the ground to safety when they were riding the horses. They also learned how to tie up a horse, brush, clean the horses feet out, saddle, bridle a horse, lead a horse, ride, and the proper spacing between the horses. They learned how to stop the horse, neck rein, back up, walk, and trot. They also learned parts of the saddle, horse and different colors of the horses.
